In a super high definition (SHD) image capturing, there are principle problems in optics and electronics. A demand for sufficient objective depth leads restrictions on a resolution and a signal quantity. A frame rate is another issue for practical SHD image sensors. Some technical directions are proposed and the present status is reviewed.
