14-2 Color Induction of Fine Lines to the Background

Abstract

We studied color induction effects of fine lines to the background. The lines made by S-cone modulation induced strong assimilation effect to the background. The magnitude of induction became larger in proportion to the spatial density of the lines. The effects were stronger than those predicted by ocular chromatic aberration.
