This paper first describes relay methods for digital terrestrial broadcasting that employ an equalizer, decision, circuit, or error correction decoder in relay equipment. It then proposes a technique that applies the diversity combining technique to these relay methods, and shows that the technique improves signal performance whatever the relay method.
