We propose a novel bar code embedding method in a color image such as poster, graphic and picture. The proposed method replaces a region of an original color image with a color bar code in condition that the additive mixture of color bar cord looks like the original image. As a result, the embedded bar code is invisible in a color image from a distance, while it is visible if we take a close look at the color image. Furthermore we can read the bar code directly by an existing bar code reader.
