We studied the readout characteristics of optical modulation on super-RENS disc that is one candidate of the next-generation high-density optical disc. The readout power to achieve a super-resolution effect can be decreased by increasing the modulation amplitude. The result also indicates the possibility to decrease the damage of the disc.
