We are developing a next-generation terrestrial broadcasting transmission system for handheld and mobile reception which uses two transmission antennas and two receiving antennas (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output: MIMO) and can transmit large capacity contents stably. This paper shows the field experiment results of the SFBC-MIMO and the SDM-MIMO system. As the result, the SDM-MIMO system reception performance is better than SFBC-MIMO system when the transmission rate is 4bits/Hz and more.
