We conducted adjacent channel interference test between digital terrestrial broadcasting OFDM signal and several kinds of possible cable TV signals : NTSC-VSB-AM, 64QAM, MUSE-AM, and MUSE-FM. For each signal, the range of relative signal power level to OFDM signal, at which the OFDM and other signals do not affect each other, has been derived. Experimental result contributed to standardeze the OFDM signal transmission in cable TV systems in Japan. Measurement and evaluation are based on discussion in the study group of the JCTEA (Japan Cable Television Engineering Association) standardization committee.
