We propose an objective no reference video quality metric based on pixel-level analysis of the coded pictures. The proposed metric extracts three image features to estimate subjective quality: blockiness, flickering features from the residual signal after motion estimation of the received pictures, and total number of freezing frames in the sequence. Computer simulations show that the proposed metric can estimate the MOS of the sequences degraded by H.264 coding and transmission errors at a correlation coefficient of 0.903.
