This article summarizes the project carried out by JAITS Educational SIG from April 2009 to March 2010. Members of JAITS who are currently engaged in teaching interpreting at universities and language schools in Japan introduce their pedagogical methods. Based on their observation of classes and the results of the survey which was carried out during the project, each member discusses some of the critical issues on interpreting education in Japan and offers their academic perspectives.
