Abstract
The authors have been studying the method that makes a mobile robot learn its path and travel autonomously by means of significant point images such as turning points taken by a digital camera. In order to recognize the significant points, it is important to detect landmarks correctly. In the newly proposed method, the landmarks are detected not separately but by relating them each other in case some landmarks are selected. This study investigates the validity of the proposed multi landmark detection method with experiments.
