Abstract
In the medical treatment welfare facilities, sometimes bed is used for patient's movement because a large physical load is necessary for patient's movement to the wheelchair from the bed. In author's laboratory, to decrease nursing load, omni-directional mobile bed with power assist system is developed. However, by reason that there is a risk of collision when in a narrow space, attendant always necessary to keep in mind the width of the bed and distance to obstacle. Such navigation can produce stress in the attendant. In this paper, to reduce the stress of nursing, collision avoidance system in power-assist system in developed.
