抄録
This paper is a review of a symposium held at the JACET Chubu Chapter Annual Convention in 2018, where three presenters discussed the theme of what university English entrance exams should measure. By considering the advantages and disadvantages of the use of commercial four-skills proficiency tests as a university English entrance examination, the present paper argues that more detailed discussion is still required to reach a general consensus on what lies ahead for the future of English language education.
