In Japan, there are several kinds of grey literature existed about art. In this paper, they are classified several types by subjects, and each characteristics are also described with a short list of reference tools and related libraries.
Toward a substantial grasp of many materials on art, the way to improve a present inconvenient situation about grey literature are discussed and proposed.
