Abstract
The Institute of Science Tokyo has implemented a series of English seminars for faculty development with a targeted focus on Academic English Presentation rather than English Medium Instruction (EMI). This strategic choice addresses the immediate needs of faculty members who must effectively communicate their research at international conferences and in academic publications. Recognizing the foundational role of academic presentation skills, the program aims to build confidence and competence in delivering impactful presentations, fostering international visibility and collaboration. Structured as one-hour sessions, the seminars enable gradual skill development without overwhelming participants. In response to the recent merger between the Institute of Tokyo Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University, these seminars also serve as a platform for mutual learning and academic exchange, contributing to integrating the two institutions and establishing a shared academic culture.
