Abstract

Abstract: In recent years, various circumstances regarding energy are changing to realize a decarbonized society. Reducing CO2 emissions nationwide has long been an important issue in mitigating global warming. In response to this, energy management that takes into account a more detailed supply-demand balance has become important in recent years. In addition, the role that local communities must play in climate change countermeasures has increased, and the issues have become more diverse. This paper summarizes the issues surrounding these recent changes in the situation, and introduces the efforts of the towns of Nose and Toyono as advanced cases of energy management on a local scale.
