Study of Natural Ventilation Performance on Student Dormitories in Bandar Lampung

Bandar Lampung city is the capital of Lampung province, Indonesia. As the gateway of Sumatra Island, Lampung now continues to develop its economic and educational sector and so does Bandar Lampung. The advancement of education institutions in Bandar Lampung especially the higher education such as universities should be supported with facilities e.g. student dormitory. This student dormitory is a temporary accommodation especially for students from outside Lampung However, are the existing student dormitories in Bandar Lampung able to provide comfort for the students since their activities mostly occur inside their rooms within the student dormitory? This study compared the student responses toward the performance of existing natural ventilation of the dormitory buildings in three different universities within Bandar Lampung which were Malahayati University, IAIN Raden Intan and Lampung University.
