On treating water flooding boundary-value problems, it is not safe to make symmetry considerations and conclude the existence of specified streamlines, or, further, to derive specified solutions, if the uniqueness of the solutions has not been ascertained.
In order to call attention to this, we are going to refer to several examples, but the theoretical discussions are to be treated on another occasion.
