The Relationship with Local Public Universities and the Areas

Abstract

The areas with a local public university expect the university as a key-factor of the regional development. So, this paper tries grasping of the relationship with the universities and the areas. We compared each area which has a local public university using the following indexes: 1) the value of manufactured goods shipments, 2) the value of retail sales, and 3) the number of automobiles owned.
