The purpose of this study is to describe the actual condition of the community participation in non-industrial waste management in the city of Ichinomiya in Aichi prefecture. In this study, we grasp the circumstances and the present condition of non-industrial waste management at three stages. The major findings of this study is as follows; Especially in recycle stage, most of non-industrial waste management are actively performed by community participation, and sorted collection and composting of kitchen garbage are mainly executed.
