The introduction of the design methodology for software development

Reporting questionnaire survey data of companies in Shizuoka

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss about relationships between the business performance and the software development methodology. June 2009, I made inquiries about these relationships - introduction of software-development methodology, productivity, awareness, education, etc. - by questionnaires on SW companies in Shizuoka prefecture. As a result, they are aware that importance of productivity, but at least half of companies have no measurement and development methodology, and their productivity depend on skills of each engineer.
