Abstract
Theory of Constraints (TOC) is known remarkably in recent years as a method of total optimization. TOC specifies the constrained process, and makes use of its throughput. Also, it increases the throughput of the whole system in improving a constrained process continuously. Drum-Buffer-Rope Scheduling (DBRS) is known as a scheduling method of TOC Scheduling. However, there are some problems in DBRS.
In this paper, we propose a new scheduling method using Pull-Push Production System instead of DBRS. We call the proposed scheduling method Pull-Push Scheduling (PPS). PPS has characteristic of the Pull production and the Push production at the same time. Furthermore, we have evaluated the PPS by computer simulation.
