Abstract
Feed-in tariff became effective from July 1st, 2012 in Japan. Could it revitalize Japanese renewable industry? and revive the distressed area? It was made a comparison between Japanese and European Feed-in tariff. The impact of Feed-in tariff was analyzed. For a month after July 1st, 2012, the number of application was 33695 and total output was 560, 000 kW. This means get off a good start. Also, the renewable energy will have tripled of the pre-quake in the distressed area. Thus, Feed-in tariff contribute to revitalize Japanese renewable industry and revive the distressed area.
