The latest movement to going private: An empirical study

Abstract

The number of firms going private is increasing in the current decade. My survey includes all companies that went private between 2006 and 2011, and compared with all listed companies at that time as random sampling. The survey follows some previous studies in terms of cash in hand and the percentage of shareholding by the managemnt and the largest shareholder.
