In this paper, a new 4 phase PMOS charge pump based on the 4 phase Dickson type charge pump (4PDCP) is presented. The original 4PDCP uses an additional boost capacitance and a MOS switch with two additional clocks to cancel the threshold voltage, and efficiency is improved. However the body effect still remains, and in some situation, it will open the threshold voltage loss window again. Moreover, the diode connected first and last stage largely lower the output. This paper is to establish a new structure to solve the above problems. Tremendous improvement can be obtained from the result.
