The issue of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) has been addressed in different ways in the literature. MPPT based on single variable are recently has a great attention due to its simplicity and ease in implementation. However the main drawbacks of these strategies their operation with fixed step size which ensure a steady state oscillations around the maximum power point and slow dynamic response. In this paper a modified variable step size based on single current sensor MPPT has been proposed.
