Whereas latest mobile phones have a function for changing a melody for different ringtone and display screen images, even smart phones have no capability for editing a vibro-tactile function. The tactile function, however, has a potential for enhancing communication between mobile devices and users. We are developing an authoring system for enabling the users to easily edit and create their preferred vibration based on a technical framework called IEC (Interactive Evolutionary Computation).
