In this paper, a linear polarization switchable microstrip array antenna using Both-sided MIC technology is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of four fed patches on which two switching diodes are mounted individually. In order to realize orthogonal polarization switching, the boundary condition of the proposed array antenna is controlled by the ON/OFF condition of the diodes. The characteristics of the proposed array antenna are investigated by ADS of Agilent technology which is followed by the experimental investigation.
