In this paper, we presents the simulation results of damping control and the maximum power tracking systems for a variable speed wind power generation system (VSWPGS) using PMSG. The PMSG offer higher efficiency than wound rotor induction generators. However, this higher efficiency manifests itself as a lack of natural damping. Therefore, we proposed damping control and the maximum power tracking systems in the MWTS that consists of multiple turbines and one shared converter. The VSWPGS under the condition of MWTS configuration is simulated to verify their basic performance.
