SF6 used in gas-insulated switchgear is decomposed by accidental partial or arc discharge resulting in reducing the insulating property. In this study, one of the byproducts, carbon tetrafluoride (CF4), is selected as the detection target to diagnose the apparatus because of its accumulation property. The sensor was constructed by assembling SnO2 nanoparticles using dielectrophoresis. Repeatability and reproducibility of the sensor were investigated. The response was decreased to 25% in the second test than first ones. The normalized responses of the nine sensors were in a range of 0.1-0.22.
