Examination of the relationship between surface functional groups of magnesium air fuel cells and open circuit voltage

The battery used in cars is a Li-ion Battery.Li is a rare metal. There is also the disadvantage that the electrolyte is a flammable liquid.Magnesium is abundant in seawater, so there is no concern about resource depletion. So you can get it cheaply.In this study, we used shochu waste for activated carbon of the positive electrode of magnesium air fuel cell. We investigated how the basic surface functional groups of activated carbon affect the discharge voltage and how the thickness of magnesium affects the discharge voltage.
