Activated carbon is playing in an important role in EDLC due to activated carbon has very high specific surface area and low cost. While EDLC is a supercapacitor made itself has an advantage in fast charge-discharge, long life cycle and energy density compared to normal capacitors. Refer to farmer in Thailand burn agricultural waste in open area such as corn stem air pollution in Thailand gone worst. Refer to that reason corn stem was selected. The result of TG-DTG was report that the type of material was include by hemicellulose and cellulose. And the best specific capacitance in this experiment was 208 F/g.
