This paper proposes a Push-Push VCO using a varactor-loaded quasi-distributed element transmission-line resonator, and it is designed by using microstrip lines. The proposed oscillator consists of two sub-oscillators and the varactor-loaded microstip-line resonator. The second harmonic signal is obtained from the center of the microstrip-line resonator. In addition, the oscillation frequency can be easily tuned by changing the bias voltage of the varactor diodes. The basic concept of the proposed Push-Push VCO is examined by simulation, and it is found to be feasible.
