This paper explores polarization agility in crossed-dipole antennas (CDAs), which consist of two orthogonal dipoles fed with a 90-degree phase shift to achieve circular polarization (CP). To support both left-handed (LHCP) and right-handed (RHCP) circular polarizations, the dipoles are modified with radiating arms extending on both sides. Capacitors are used in the feed line to switch polarization sense. Experimental results confirm that the CDA can achieve either RHCP or LHCP, matching simulation outcomes. Measured 3-dB axial ratio bandwidths of 34% (3.24–4.57 GHz, LHCP) and 30.6% (3.24–4.41 GHz, RHCP) cover the n77/n78/n79 sub-6 GHz bands.
