Abstract
It was tried to make a subject matter of computer assisted instruction (CAI) for homemaking education using the LOGO computer language. The elements was extracted from learning unit of "making a small thing" described in a homemaking textbook for elementary school. The relationship between elements was examined through interpretive structural modeling method (ISM method) applied to the subject matter. The elements had learning hierarchy structures and were classified into cognition, affective, psychomotor domains. The subject matter of CAI made was aimed to realize the attitude toward practical capability which is an important behavioral objective of homemaking education. The LOGO computer language has structured algorithm and make it easy to prepare the subject matter of CAI with the assistance of the ISM method. A educational practice using the subject matter made was performed for the fifth grade pupils of elementary school. It was assumed that CAI performed would be effective to learn educational content including psychomotor domains.
