To investigate the industrial recovery of the Miyagi Prefecture after the Great East Japan Earthquake, we created an interregional Input–Output Table for three periods: (1) before the earthquake, (2) immediately after the earthquake, and (3) two years after the earthquake. In this study, we focused on supply chains, which have a significant impact on industrial recovery. We used APL functions for interactive analysis, including visualization tools.
The results showed that some of the industrial economy in the affected areas returned to the pre-earthquake transaction structure at an early stage.
