The aim of the study is to recognize diversity of vegetation after fire in peatswamp forest. Sample plots were in 4 locations. Survey showed 9 species in 2012 post fire plots, 8 species in 2010 and 2008 post fire plots and 44 species in secondary forest. In post fire plots, Imperata cylindrica was dominant species. Secondary forest has a more stable plant community compared to other locations. The plot after 2012 forest fire had the lowest result as the plot was in the early stage in succession process. The characteristics of soil after fire were poor. Bulk density became larger after fire but porosities and permeability became smaller. Alkalinity increased but some materials (K, Na, Mg, Ca, N total, etc) decreased post fire. The study showed post fire succession process in peatswamp forest was slow as soil quality degradation after fire.
