This study explores stochastic approach to observe the spatiotemporal behavior of forest fire in relation to the distance to settlements and roads in addition to monthly rainfall intensity. There is strong relationship between the accessibility characteristics of a forest and forest fire spatial distribution in South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Weibull’s α and β parameters correlate to number of settlement (ns), total size of settlement (ss) and road density (rd). Equation models for settlement fire risk are αset=9564-170ns and βset=1.128+0.017ns-0.001ss+0.108rd. While αroad=1996-169rd and βroad=0.952-0.012rd are the equations models for road fire risk. In addition, monthly rainfall threshold for forest fire is 189 mm/month. This study provides evidence of the applicability of stochastic approach to forest fire.
