Temporal and spatial variation of soil respiration in desert ecosystem

Soil respiration (Sr) in arid ecosystem is less focused compared to other ecosystems owing to its lower CO₂ efflux magnitude but it doesn't mean that it's an insignificant part in the carbon cycle system. Continuously observation of Sr was carried out in tamarix community and haloxylon community respectively during main growing seasons in desert area. The temporal and spatial variation of Sr were summarized and the relationships between the variations and influential factors were analyzed.
