Abstract
I previously reported about the method how to investigate the ease of basic dress patterns for ladies' wear, and about the ease of armhole and shoulder in Part 1, 2, and 3 of this report. Part 4 of the report deals with the ease of neck. The main results obtained are as follows.
1) In the case that the bust actually measured by human bodies is big, the measurement of basic necklines of patterns becomes bigger.
2) It is unnecessary for the measurement of basic front neckline of patterns to add the ease to the measurement of front neckline actually measured. As the basic back neckline of patterns has greatly relationship with the back neck form of human bodies, it is necessary for the each mesurement of basic back neckline to have the ease after due consideration of the form.
3) Narrower front width across shoulder point than back one gives more difference between front and back width across neck root point.
