Abstract
Four male and female plaster torsi were photographed on their right side neck by moire topography to obtain draft of a surface development.
The following results were obtained :
1) Top view, front view and left side view of the neck were drawn, plotting 3-dimentional coordinates obtained from moire contours. The whole shape and size of the neck could be realized from those principal views.
2) Drafts of approximate development of neck surface were obtained applying triangulation method to those principal views.
3) Each of the neck surface developments was represented in scythe-like form. In particular, individual differences were manifested, on the front and side curves of the neck base line, where the undulation of clavicular part of neck and inclination of shoulder are refrected.
4) Possibility of moiré photogrammetry on the neck of living subjects was suggested.
