(1) A girl, aged 1 year and 6 months, had anattack of fever of 39° three months after birth, and her right cheek swelled and the nose clogged. Pus was bischarged from the nose and the fever fell by penicillin injection, but theswelling was not removed. She underwent an operation of the lower eyelid by an eye doctorfour months after birth because of the persistent swelling and also had the incision performed by a surgeon of the cervical lymphadenitis that had complicated. But the swelling of her right cheek continued over one year. Theauthor performed the radical operation of maxillar osteomyelitis and removed the sequestru m when she came to his hospital and the cure was effected.
(2) A girl, aged 10 years, had high fever and swelling of the gums and the mucous memprane of the canine fossa and pus discharged from the apex of the hard palatenbout ten months after birth. She underwentn operation of the gums by a duntist, but th swelling was not removed. As her right chek and the lower part of her eyelid came to swell up, she had another operation by an eye doctor. After that the discharge matter was stopped by a half year's treatment. But at ten years of age, pus discharged again from the fistula. The author performed the radical operation (Caldwell-Luc) of osteomyelitis and she was cured.
