抄録
Measurements of auricle (width of “top to bottom” and “front to rear”), head (length of “front to rear” and “left to right”) and height were taken from 628 persons (male 328, female 300) who were living in Okayama city and under 20 years old.
Result of the study was as follows
The auricle is fully developed at about 10 years old, and it is earlier in completion of development than head and height. In a fully developed auricle the width of “top to bottom” is 6-6.5cm and of “front to rear” is 3.5-4cm. It is also noted that in a female, the completion of development of the auricle is earlier and smaller in size. than that of the male.
Moreover, the comparison of development of the auricle, head and stature was discussed in detail in the paper.
