Two cases of maxillary sinus mucocele were reported in this paper.
Case 1: The patient, a 64 year old female, complained of painful hard mass formation of right cheek region which had been found two years before the first visit of our clinic. X-ray film showed diffuse enlarged shadow in right maxillary sinus and sharp bony defect of maxilla. At the time of surgery, suspection of maxillary cancer was still remained. However, it was confirmed that right maxillary sinus was enlarged and showed bony defect on lateral and medial wall but no tumorous mass. The surgical and histological findings indicated maxillary sinus mucocele.
Case 2: The patient, a 17 year old male, complained of recurrent swelling and compressive feeling of right cheek region. X-ray film showed that there was diffuse shadow in right enlarged maxillary sinus with markedly thined bony walls. The surgical operation showed very enlarged maxillary sinus and egg-shell like bony wall on medial, basal and anterior parts.
