The left lateral cervical tumor of a new-born girl baby, noticed about ten days after birth, enlarged gradually to about the size of a child's fist and began to hinder deglutition and respiration. It was discovered, by microscopic examination of the probe preparation taken on approximately the fiftieth day after birth, that the tumor was a malignant one of the spindle cell sarcoma. The deep X-ray irradiation rapidly reduced the tumor, and no sign of relapse is seen after one year has elapsed. Considering the age, this is quite a rare case of congenital sarcoma in lateral cervix.
