Auditory brain-stem responses (ABRs), short latency somatosensory evoked potentials (short latency SEP) and visual evoked potentials (VEP) in pediatric neurological disorders were examined. Cases where some waves of ABRs disappeared were reported. 1. The usefulness of ABRs was noted in diagnosing the level of lesions, in following-up and in evaluating therapeutical effects. 2. A case of pontine tumor presented a change of wave on the nonaffected side presumably derived from brain-stem dysfunction on the affected side. 3. As SEP abnormalities in cases of brain-stem dysfunction lacking some ABR waves, changes of P3 and N1 were observed, but P2 remained normal.
