275 patients of tuberculosis, to whom Streptomycin was intramuscular injected, were observed and the result was as follows.
1) The hearing impairments was found in 14.9% and the Tinnitus was found in 22.0%.
2) Here was no difference about the Frequency of auditory disturbances between the patient of normal hearing and of the hard of hearing of high tone before use of Streptomycin.
3) Ototoxity of combined Streptomycin was very smaller than dihydrostreptomycin.
4) The appearance of auditory disturbances had no parallel relation with other side reactions.
5) Hearing loss was seen at C6, C5 or C5. C6 in the early stage of Streptomycin impairment.
6) The hearing impairment in the presence of the compromised renal function was very frequent and high degree.
