(1) Using the Blindfolded vertical writing test with changes in head position, ninety-two cases suffering from tinnitus, deafness and vertigo were analysed, and the following results were obtained;
In almost all cases of the unilateral peripheral labyrinthine diseases such as the typical Menière's disease and the acoustic neurinoma without marked affection to the celleberum, the positional deviation in writing showed the regular type in which the lists of letters deviated regularly to a certain specific direction unless the head inclination was changed. While in one half of the patients of the diseases of the central nervous system such as the celleberal tumor, the head injury and the cerebral arteriosclerosis, the positional deviation in writing showed the irregular type in which the lists of letters deviated irregularly or each of letters showed a marked ataxic apperance so that it could scarcely be read, although the head maintained the same position in its inclination.
