A case of fibroma of the hypopharynx was reported. The patient was a 35 year-old woman, whose chief complaint was hoarseness, swelling on the left side of the neck and slight difficulty in breathing.
Mirror examination revealed a large tumor in the lateral wall of the hypopharynx.
The tumor was removed by a technique of pharyngotomia lateralis. The mass was ovalshaped, considerably firm and its size was 4cm×3cm×2.5cm.
Histological findings revealed the tumor was “fibroma durum”.
