Abstract
In recent years fuel oils have been used for water gas generator source instead of coal and coke. The author introduced several water gas processes and described about the plant and operation of Fauser process in detail, which has been in work in his company. This process has such superior points that installation and operating costs are cheap, thermal efficiency is high and that selection of charging fuel oil is not needed. However the process still has difficulty of desulfurization of products from high sulfur fuel oils.
