The high-pressure steam distillation method has been developed as one of the efficient utilization technology of woody biomass. This method allowed rapid distillation of high-boiling compounds in good yield. In this study, terpenoids were efficiently distilled from coniferous foliage, which is unused resource, by the high-pressure steam distillation at the condition of 1.0MPa, and high calorific value which is comparable to gasoline was observed. It indicates that the alternative fuel can be obtained from coniferous foliage by the high-pressure steam distillation.
